Over the past few months, Roxbury News has been engaged in an in-depth investigation of Pennsylvania Gaming Local Share Grants, most specifically with an emphasis on how those gaming monies are allocated and used within Dauphin County.

Fortunately, Dauphin County has worked congenially with us to expedite our research as we've issued numerous Right-to-Know requests. Information garnered from those requests along with consistent attendance at local and State meetings and hearings has given us an incredible amount of material for examination and analysis. What clearly is emerging is an elaborate system of investment, procurement, and payment all centered around State gaming money. What we're discovering, we'll produce in a series of videos and reports on the complex network that determines the local distribution of these public funds.

This investigation has been especially relevant in light of the Grand Jury report on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board; the connection between the City of Harrisburg's Act 47 process and Dauphin County gaming funds; and most recently, the pronouncement by Representative Mike Turzai of Eckert Seamans attorney Mark Stewart's involvement in the formation of House Bill 11, PA wine and liquor sales privatization.
