The City of Harrisburg's 2009 Audit was due to be complete June 21, 2012; however, due to the failure of Mayor Linda Thompson to sign off on the documents, the Audit has been delayed, again.

From the June Report of The Harrisburg Authority: "The 2009 Audited Financial Statements were expected to be released 6/21/12. Unfortunately the Mayor wouldn?t sign the Management Representation Letter by the due date.

This will cause the auditor to re-issue and receive new letters from all attorneys on any subsequent events.

Hopefully the Financial Statements will be issued sometime in July. Discussions regarding the City?s 2010 and 2011 audits are ongoing.

The Officer of the Receiver has chosen a CPA firm to begin work July 2nd on preparing the City?s daily accounting records for the 2010 audit."---Tara Leo Auchey
