As released by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police:

Type of Incident: Shooting investigation.

. Date / Time: 06-14-2013 at about 0105 hrs.

. Location: 1700 block of Miller St.

. Investigating Officer: Det. Christopher Krokos

. Injured person: White male, 30, Hummelstown resident.

. Suspect: Unknown.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 06-14-2013 at about 0110hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of State St. on a report that a person had been shot. The officers located the injured person at the City Gas & Diesel store parking lot at N. 16th and State Sts. He was on the parking lot next to his car and suffering from several gunshot wounds. He told officers that he had been drinking and didn’t feel that he could drive. He got an acquaintance to drive him to Harrisburg. That man drove him to the 1900 block of State St. and got out. The injured man slept in his car and awoke as he was being assaulted by someone. The assailant shot him several times. He drove off and made it to safety. He was taken to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment. His wounds were not considered life threatening.

. The officers checked on calls of a shooting in the area and located a probable scene in the 1700 block of Miller St.
