Dauphin county commissioners approved the following low interest loan applications.

$1.5 million to Middletown Borough. Project description before the Gaming Advisory Board.

$925,000 to Londonderry Township. Replace three township bridges. These are bridges in name only.

$825,000 to West Hanover Township. Township Supervisor Adam Klein presents plan to Gaming Advisory Board.

$350,000 To the City of Harrisburg. Road work to Hale Avenue, South 17th street, and Pentwater Road.

$256,960 To Derry Township. Installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Route 743 and Homestead Road. A signal is warranted here.

Dauphin County Commissioners award $3.9 million in low-interest loans to five local projects through new county infrastructure bank

HARRISBURG, PA (March 12, 2014) – Fixing a dangerous West Hanover Township intersection, significantly repairing three Harrisburg streets and helping Middletown’s downtown revitalization efforts are among the first five projects funded by the innovative Dauphin County Infrastructure Bank (DCIB).

The $3.9 million low-interest loans for road, streetscape and bridge improvements awarded today by Dauphin County Commissioners Jeff Haste, Mike Pries and George P. Hartwick, III represent a first-of-its kind partnership between a county and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to help municipalities address critical transportation-related projects. The five loans will be repaid over ten years at a 0.5 percent interest rate.
