Ryan Luckenbaugh enters Dauphin county courthouse Friday morning.

Matt Miller of PennLive reported that Luckenbaugh was found guilty of simple assault and official oppression charges Friday afternoon.

All four charges against Pennsylvania State Trooper Ryan Luckenbaugh were held for court today after a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge JoAnn Teyral. Luckenbaugh is charged with two counts of Official Oppression and one count each of Simple Assault and Harassment. It is alleged that on May 16, 2015, Trooper Luckenbaugh kicked a handcuffed Christopher Siennick in the face after Siennick spit in his direction. It is also alleged that Luckenbaugh lied in his affidavit of probable cause which was attached to the criminal complaint he filed that evening against Siennick. Luckenbaugh charged Siennick with 14 criminal counts and he was placed in the Dauphin County Prison after not being able to post $225,000 bail.

Members of the Harrisburg Police Department came forward with information that Siennick was kicked in the face and an internal investigation was begun. Dash camera footage from that evening shows Luckenbaugh kicking in the direction of a seated and handcuffed Siennick. Luckenbaugh is heard on the video saying “spit on that” while making the kicking motion. A member of the Harrisburg Police is then heard saying “no, no, no” as if to stop the action. Further review of the dash camera footage conflicted with Luckenbaugh’s allegations against Siennick. For example, Luckenbaugh alleged that Siennick struck the patrol vehicle when he skateboarded past. However, the camera footage and corresponding audio fails to support that claim in any fashion.

Subsequent to the hearing, Luckenbaugh’s bail was set at $15,000 unsecured and he was scheduled for formal arraignment on June 17, 2016.
