On January 8, 2010, Joan Orie Melvin was sworn in as a justice of the State Supreme Court. Four of the five Orie sisters pose after the ceremony. On Friday, May 18, 2012, the Allegheny County DA's Office charged the Supreme Court Justice with nine criminal counts associated with using public resources for her campaign purposes.--Tara Leo Auchey
