In what might be the most important vote during the 186 day old Thompson administration, Harrisburg City Council voted no to Cathy Hall by a vote of 5-2 Thompson's other choices of Barton Fields a retired state official and Harry Witte a professor at Widner University School of law withdrew their names prior to Council interviews. During tonight's meeting council approved J. Marc Kurowski and William J. Cluck as council appointees to the board of the Harrisburg Authority.
