Ramaley was charged with 6 criminal counts in whats being described as Bonusgate. Ramaley is the democratic candidate for the Senate seat held by Senator Gerald LaValle who is retiring in 2008.

LaValle and Mike Veon created The Beaver Initiative for Growth (BIG) a community based non profit run by LaValle's wife Darla.
