City Council President Wanda Williams opened up the April 5th joint press conference of City Council, City Controller, and City Treasurer in response to Receiver David Unkovic's March 30th resignation. Williams declares before a new receiver is appointed, the Commonwealth Court must hold a hearing on Unkovic's departure. Otherwise, she asserts, the same pressures could affect his replacement. "The powers that forced him out are still at play."
