On Sunday April 22, 2012, The Midtown Scholar hosted a panel entitled, "20th Anniversary Commemoration of the Harrisburg Thirteen Lawsuit.

Three years after the Commonwealth Court ruled that Harrisburg City Council had the statutory power to make contracts on behalf of the City, not the Mayor, 13 Harrisburg citizens filed a lawsuit arguing Reed was not honoring the previous Court decision when he spent proceeds from the sale of the water system without City Council's approval. Rebecca Myers was one of the citizens who sued Mayor Reed.--Tara Leo Auchey
