Harrisburg Mayor Thompson takes issue with PA Rep. Daryl Matcalfe's House Bill 1523, which would fine municipalities that pass local laws that regulate firearms and ammunition possession. Thompson declares the NRA push for the passage of House Bill 1523 will hinder local officials trying to get "illegal guns off of the street and out of the hands of the bad guys." The Harrisburg Mayor states, while she was on City Council, she was instrumental in passing legislation that requires City gun-owners to report a lost or stolen gun.--Tara Leo Auchey
