After signing the 2012/2013 Budget we asked Governor Corbett about the extension of the Chapter 9 Municipal Bankruptcy prohibition on 3rd Class cities. Despite the Receiver's request that the prohibition not be extended, Corbett points to the fact the Legislature made its decision. "I'm not going to argue with them on that," the Governor states. "We'll work with the Receiver. We'll provide whatever help we can." ---Tara Leo Auchey
