On July 5, 2012, Der Maennerchor presented the Harrisburg Public Schools Foundation with a $10,000 donation for the campaign to save Harrisburg School District extracurriculars. The check was given by JJ Livingston, President of Der Maennerchor, and accepted by Morton Spector and Marion Alexander on behalf of the Foundation.---Tara Leo Auchey
