During its August 15th Board meeting, Dauphin County General Authority gave consent to the Pittsburgh Hyatt Hotel to purchase a $15,900.00 espresso machine. The Authority, which owns the financially troubled hotel, was highlighted in an August 31st Pittsburgh Post Gazette article that focuses on the fact Dauphin County General Authority has not kept with its agreement to pay $767,000 a year in payments in lieu of taxes to Allegheny County, Findlay and the West Allegheny School District.
