As released by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police:Type of Incident: Endangering Welfare of Child . Date / Time: 12-14-2012, at about 1830 hrs.

. Location: S. 13th & Vernon Sts. . Investigating Officer: Harrisburg City Vice Unit.

. Victim R/S/A: W/F/02, Mechanicsburg, . Suspect: Paul Shayter, Jr., W/M/34, Mechanicsburg.

. Charges: Endangering the Welfare of Child.

Possession of Marijuana.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Patronizing a Prostitute.

Driving Under suspension. Narrative: On 12-14-2012 at about 1820 hrs. Paul Shayter drove to the area of S. 13th and Vernon Sts. with his 02 year old daughter in the rear passenger seat of his vehicle. He engaged in conversation with an undercover police officer posing as a prostitute. He offered her money for oral sex. He was taken into custody by a team of Vice Unit detectives and charged as noted. He had a small amount of marijuana with him. The little girl was turned over to a family member who responded to the City at the request of detectives. The car was towed. Shayter was sent to the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of bail.
