Type of Incident: Death investigation.

. Date / Time: 01-19-2013 at about 1115 hrs.

. Location: 1600 block of Green St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Division. . Victim R/S/A: Unknown male. . Suspect: N/A.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 01-19-2013 at about 1115 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of Green St. on a report that a dead body was found in an apartment. The reporting witnesses said that they were at a third floor apartment to determine occupancy and safety matters in that the woman renting it had been incarcerated in late December. The witnesses were the property manager and related. They made entry and discovered the badly decomposed body of a man. He was in bed, clad in boxers and on his back. Police were summoned.

. A possible identification has been made but it is not confirmed and the name is not being released yet.

. No signs of trauma were noted. An autopsy will be needed to determine anything more due to the decomposition of the body. It may be that the man was dead for 10 to 15 days. The apartment was locked, secure and without evidence of disturbance.

. A detective visited the woman who is listed at the sole occupant of the apartment. She gave information to assist in the identification of the man.
