Two weeks after receiving a $5,000 community improvement grant from Keep America Beautiful and Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation, the Green Urban Initiative of Harrisburg is looking for volunteers to help construct their 5th garden on Saturday, May 4th.

The twenty plot garden aims to serve residents of Harrisburg's Uptown community and will be located on land provided by Wesley Union AME Zion Church. The build event is planned to run from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M., or until the work is completed.

If you would like to volunteer please contact Jason Zubler, President, Green Urban Initiative at Jason@greenurban.org or (717)565-9486.
