Type of Incident: Shooting investigation.

. Date / Time: 06-04-2013 at about 1010 hrs.

. Location: 1900 block of Walnut St.

. Investigating Officer: Detective Ryan Neal

. Victims: Black male, 37, suburban Harrisburg Black female, 36,

“ “ . Suspect: Strollen Battle, Jr., B/M/34, suburban Harrisburg.

Charges: Attempted Homicide.

Aggravated Assault.

Carrying Firearm Without License.

Other related offenses.

. Narrative: On 06-04-2013 at about 1010 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Walnut St. on a report of a shooting. Witness accounts provided that Strollen Battle was wildly upset and threatened to kill a woman who was sitting in a parked car. He fired several shots at her while threatening to kill her. She was able to duck down in the car and then got out and ran to safety. Battle then fired at a man associated with the woman. Fortunately no one was injured. Battle got into a waiting car and it sped off.

. Det. Neal obtained an arrest warrant for Battle. He contacted the Swatara Township Police and coordinated an attempt to locate Battle.

. During the evening of 06-05-2013 Battle was seen in the Woodlands Townhomes area in Rutherford. A team of Swatara Township officers surrounded Battle and took him into custody.
