Following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down a key component of the Defense of Marriage Act, Representative Dan Frankel and Brian Sims stopped by the newsroom to discuss the reintroduction of Frankel's HB 300 from the 2011-2012 legislative session.

Frankel expressed his desire to get the bill referred to a committee with a chairman that is willing to advance the rights of those in the LGBT community, "Historically HB300 has been referred to State Government. [...] People need to recognize that the Chairman of the State Government Committee is an extremist on this issue."
