As released by the offices of Senator Rob Teplitz and Rep. Pattie Kim:

HARRISBURG — State Sen. Rob Teplitz and state Rep. Patty Kim, the two state lawmakers who represent the City of Harrisburg, will unveil their legislation to permanently require full reimbursement from the state for providing fire protection and emergency services to the 40 tax-exempt state-owned buildings located in the city.

Earlier this year, Teplitz, Kim, Harrisburg Receiver Maj. Gen. William Lynch, and local officials successfully fought for $5 million in the 2013-14 state budget, which covers the city’s annual cost of providing these services at the Capitol Complex. Now, they want that funding to remain intact in future state budgets.

Media coverage is welcomed.

WHO: State Sen. Rob Teplitz (D-15th dist.) State Rep. Patty Kim (D-103rd dist.) Harrisburg Receiver Maj. Gen. William Lynch.
