Second Round of Harrisburg Artifact Auction Falls Short of Low-End Estimates

Expectations failed to materialize during the Second day of Part 2 of the Harrisburg Auction.

There were 548 items scheduled for the auction block but 476 were actually sold. Our unofficial estimate of today's total sales amount to 115,976 dollars, a figure that falls short of the low estimate by 68,064 dollars.

Part 2 of the Harrisburg Auction was expected to generate between $453,530 and $308,510, but the final hammer prices fell short of the low estimate by $103,524 for a total of $204,986.

As of August 20th, 2013 Guernsey's auctions has collected $2,348,210 of the 3,146,930 dollars that was generated from the first round of Harrisburg's Artifact Auction. The additional revenue that was generated over the past two days leaves $1,003,706 be collected.

Lot 8740A: Colt Revolver Pistol -Fitted Case - $5,500.

Lot 8661: Nineteen Indian Photographs - $3,250.

Lot 8554: Post Route Map Idaho, Montana & Wyoming - $2,500.

Lot 8972: Important Tombstone Epitaphs (3) - $2,500.

Lot 8751: Merwyn & Hulbert Revolver - $2,500.

Lot 8640: Sailors Cased Pistol-Dagger Set - $1,800.

Lot 9027: 1858 Remington Revolver Beaded Holster - $1,700.

Lot 8676: Henry Brown's Cased Marlin Model 1878 - $1,600.

Lot 8749: Percussion Rifle Hudson Bay Company - $1,500.

Lot 8742: Revolutionary War Officer's Pistol - $1,500.
