CITY OF HARRISBURG NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION 2013.

2013 New Year's Eve Celebration - 9:00 PM Market Square Harrisburg’s December 31st celebration, now in its 25th year, has become South Central Pennsylvania’s premier New Year’s Eve event.

The New Years Eve Celebration activities for this year promise to be even more spectacular as we welcome the year 2014. Attended by thousands, portions of this family-oriented entertainment program will be broadcast live on WHTM.

Market Square and City Government Center are alive with, unique performers, musical entertainment and children activities.

Outside non-stop musical entertainment. Featured on the Countdown Stage will be live entertainment of RaDash (Ralph Rodriguez), Erica Lyn Everest, AddiaMuziq, and X-Factor will keep the party moving until the big moment.

The children’s activities are located inside City Government Center, where families will be delighted by the Popcorn Hatplayers, children’s balloon artist and face painter, enjoy being entertained by the volunteers of the Arthritis Foundation, while they snack on cookies, hot chocolate and coffee, available free of charge.

At 60 seconds before midnight, Mayor Thompson will signal the decent of the traditional lighted strawberry from the top of the Hilton Harrisburg and Towers, landing at precisely the moment the New Year begins and signaling the launch of the dramatic "street level" fireworks display that will illuminate the downtown sky and bring the year in with a bang!
