As released by the Dauphin County Office of the District Attorney:

Child endangerment charges against field hockey coach waived into court.

Jan 22 DAUPHIN COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.

Alicia Colon, of Reading, today waived her preliminary hearing and agreed to send all of her charges to the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas. Colon is charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, two counts of Hindering Apprehension, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and two counts of Corruption of Minors.

The charges against Colon came to light during a Lower Swatara Police investigation into a rape of a 16 year old girl that reportedly occurred in Colon's hotel room.

When Colon found out about the alleged sexual assault she tried to convince the victim to "forget about what happened, it will go away".

She encouraged the victim not to report the rape because Colon was concerned how this incident would impact her coaching job.
