Harrisburg – Governor Tom Corbett has announced the appointment of Fredrick Clark as Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs.

“Fred’s extensive professional background will provide the Advisory Commission on African American Affairs with a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge,” Gov. Corbett said. “I am confident in Fred’s ability to perform the duties of this position with distinction.”

Mr. Clark is currently the CEO of Clark Resources. Clark Resources is a consulting and public relations firm based in Harrisburg. Mr. Clark has held a variety of positions and has received numerous awards for his professional leadership in diversity programs and philanthropic efforts.

Mr. Clark graduated from Pennsylvania State University, and has previously served as the president of the Central PA African American Chamber of Commerce and the chairman of the National African American Cultural Center.

The Governor's Advisory Commission on African American Affairs (GACAAA) is committed to ensuring that the Commonwealth is responsive to the needs and challenges of the African American community. The Commission works closely with the Governor’s Office to ensure the Commonwealth’s policies, procedures and legislation are reflective of the concerns of African Americans. Further, the Commission serves as the Governor’s liaison to African American organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
