On August 19, 2011, former PA Speaker of the House John Perzel's aide pleaded guilty in the so-called Computergate Scandal. This scandal centered around Perzel's use of $10 million in taxpayer money and resources for his own campaign purposes. Last August, Perzel's former Chief of Staff Paul Towhey entered a guilty plea to one count each of conspiracy and conflict of interest. Today, March 20th, a self-proclaimed "embarrassed and ashamed" Towhey was sentenced by Dauphin County Judge Lewis to 60 months probation, a $5,000 fine, and ordered to pay $35,000 in restitution.--Tara Leo Auchey
