At the regular meeting of the Harrisburg School Board of Directors on Monday, April 16th, the Board appointed two new members to the Board filling the vacancies of Arlene Burno and Wayne Henry, each who recently resigned for personal reasons. By unanimous vote, Ruth Cruz took one seat, and by a vote of 4-3, James Thompson took the second seat. These directors were decided upon after an application, public interview, and nomination process. It is projected the Harrisburg School District will have a budget deficit of $15.8 million in the next year.--Tara Leo Auchey
