As the featured guest at the Gala of the 32nd Annual Conference of the Council of the Georgist Organizations, former Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed arrived to little fanfare.
At first reluctant to speak with us, Reed did answer our questions about the City's current situation and the issue of bankruptcy. "I'd use bankruptcy as an absolute last resort, but I wouldn't take it off the table," he said. He went on to declare that as he sees it, all of Harrisburg's problems are solvable, and he feels it's a tragedy they haven't yet been resolved.
When asked if he would participate in a public forum on the fiscal crisis of the City of Harrisburg, Reed replied, "Not sure anybody listens."---Tara Leo Auchey
