On November 28, 2012, John Hanger announced his campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania. Under the Rendell Administration, Hanger was Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection. He also is a former Commissioner on the Public Utilities Commission.
A Democrat, Hanger is the first person to make his gubernatorial run official. "Together we can make Corbett a one term governor," he said.
