As released by the Harrisburg Police Dept:

Type of Incident: Robbery.

. Date / Time: 01-19-2013 at about 0805 hrs.

. Location: Family Dollar, 400 S. Cameron St. . Investigating Officer: Det. Christopher Krokos.

. Victim R/S/A: White female clerk, 44, Family Dollar.

. Suspect: Black male, 35-40, heavy build, wearing work boots and a puffy winter coat.

. Charges: Pending.

. Narrative: On 01-19-2013 at about 0820 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar store on a report . They were met by the victim who let them into the store. She was injured with obvious contusions to her face. She said that she opened the store at 0800 hrs. for business. A man came in and walked around for a moment. He then attacked her from behind by holding a knife to her throat. He was frantic, demanding money, access to the safe, her cell phone and her purse. He held onto to her and forced her to various isles and rooms while making his demands. He stopped and began to tie her hands with some sort of cord. She realized her extreme danger and tired to fight him off. He punched her repeatedly, knocking her unconscious. He then left the store (as seen on store video.)
