Archive footage of House Speaker Sam Smith and House Majority Leader Mike Turzai discussing Governor Corbett's "File Cabinet Issues" on November 7, 2012.
Speaker Smith's recollection of events when the General Assembly passed gaming legislation adequately describes the "muck and mire" presently facing the House and Senate liquor proposals.
The House passed Turzai's liquor proposal on March 21, 2013 and it was amended in the Senate Law and Justice Committee yesterday to resemble Senator McIlhinney's liquor modernization bill.
Senator Rafferty's transportation funding proposal appears to hang in the balance as the House Transportation Committee delayed consideration of SB1 yesterday, and Chairman Dick Hess proceeded to postpone the meeting scheduled at 9:30 am today.
