On June 24, 2013 at about 1:15 am patrol officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Pine St. on a report of a theft.
The victim reported that he was tired and slept in his car. A man who identified himself as Officer Craig awakened him. The man questioned the victim about possibly being intoxicated. The victim got out of his car and was told that he was being placed under arrest and to put his hands on a wall.
The man then took the victim’s wallet and ran off as he yelled back to the victim that he is stupid. The victim’s wallet and some identification cards were found the next day on the Riverwalk at Walnut St. The victim’s credit card was subsequently used in a downtown shop.
