Type of Incident: Criminal Attempt Homicide-Shooting

Location: 1500 block of N 6th St

Investigating Officer: Detective Jarrett Ferrari

Victim: H/M/43 Resident of Harrisburg City

Suspect: Orlando Ayuso-Rivera H/M/38 Resident City of Harrisburg Charges: Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Person not to Possess a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Retaliation Against Witnesses, Conspiracy. Narrative:

10/05/13 at 12:53 am, Harrisburg Police officers were dispatched to area of 1537 N 6th St for a reported shooting outside.

Upon arrival, they located the victim, who was soon transported to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Investigation revealed that the victim was accosted by numerous assailants. One of which was identified as Orlando (aka Ornaldo) Ayuso-Rivera.

On 10/06/13, the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team was contacted to assist with a warrant service for Ayuso-Rivera. They attempted to serve the warrant at a home in the Hill area of Harrisburg City. Ayuso-Rivera was not located and is being sought. Detectives are still investigating the incident and seeking the identity of the other suspects.
