Today marked the first day of round 2 for Harrisburg's Artifact Auction.
Out of the 506 scheduled items, 410 were actually sold. The bidding took place online and our unofficial estimates place today's total hammer price sales at $89,010.00. The estimated high total for today's items was $186,640, and the estimated low value was $124,470.
Pursuant to Guernsey's Terms and Conditions for the Auction bidders are charged a 25% buyers premium, in addition to paying New York State and local sales taxes of 8.875% for the County of New York.
Although the total value of today's items did not reach the sale prices seen throughout the first half of the Harrisburg Auction, there were a number of items that sold for between 1,000 and 7,000 dollars.
The following is a list of the top items sold at today's auction:
Lot 8177: Research Papers from the Estate of Robert Farrington Elwell, an artist from the 1900's - $7,000.
Lot 8079: A Cased Colt Single Action Revolve went for $5,500.
Lot 8342: Remnants of a Revolutionary War Ship, The Royal Savage sold for $5,000.
Lot 8468: A pair of Indian Photographs - $3,750.00.
Lot 8081: A Winchester 1873 Rifle sold for $2,500.00.
Lot 8423: Savage Ale Advertising Sign maxed out at $1,200.
Lot 8261: 1876 Sioux Campaign Terry & Miles Order - $1,200.
Lot 8080: Colt Single Action Army Pistol - $1,200.
Lot 8421: City Marshal Badge - $1,000.
