The following information was released by the Harrisburg Police Department earlier this morning:
On 12/12/13 at approximately 10:50 pm, The Harrisburg City Bureau of Police received a call for a man sitting in a car bleeding in the 2100 block of N. 4th Street.
Upon arrival of police, a male was confirmed seated inside covered in blood. EMS was summoned to the scene and began working on him. He was later pronounced deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

This incident follows two days after Mayor Elect Eric Papenfuse held a town hall meeting Wednesday evening at John Harris High School. One of the issues discussed was the epidemic of illegal guns in Harrisburg.
