AP's Marc Levy reported Friday afternoon that Harrisburg city council member Brad Koplinski was planning to file suit to keep Jay Paterno off the May 20th ballot.

Major party candidates for lieutenant governor must submit the signatures of 1,000 registered party voters, including 100 from each of five different counties. The deadline was Tuesday to submit the signatures for the May 20 primary election.
But Koplinski's lawyer Larry Otter says Paterno's petitions won't meet those requirements. He says he'll challenge them Monday in court. Paterno, a first-time candidate, didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

If Koplinski does file suit it won't be the first time he's signed onto a petition challenge.
