During her March 16th press conference kick-off for St. Patty's Day, Harrisburg's Mayor Thompson stresses the increased security that will be in place in the City for the two weekends of holiday festivities. Per the Mayor, a telephone call to the Governor resulted in the State Police agreeing to provide extra police protection for the downtown area. Confident all who participate in the St. Patty's Day celebrations will be safe and secure, the Mayor calls on visitors to come to the City of Harrisburg.
