Midtown Harrisburg Robbery, Wednesday morning, 200 block of Hamilton Street

Type of Incident: Robbery – armed Date/Time: 10-31-2012 at about 0645 hrs.

Location: 200 block of Hamilton St.

Investigating Officer: Sgt. Thomas Carter

Victim R/S/A: White female, 65, Midtown resident

Suspect: Unknown race male, about 5’7” tall with black coloring on his face and neck mixed with some orange color in the manner of camouflage. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black gloves. Seemed young – maybe 20’s.

Charges: Pending

Narrative:

On 10-31-2012 at about 0700 hrs. patrol officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Hamilton St. on a report of a robbery. The victim said that she was walking to a bus stop on her way to work. An armed robber ran up to her while brandishing a handgun. He demanded her money and cell phone. She told him that she had neither. He made some comment that she was safe today and he ran off. The victim was not harmed.
