Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Eric Papenfuse will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the atrium of the City Government Center, to discuss plans to launch the “Parkmobile” app on Thursday, March 1, 2017. He will be joined by Nancy Keim, Senior Manager of SP Plus.
Parkmobile LLC, is the leading provider for on-demand and prepaid mobile payments for on and off-street parking. Their services have been adopted in more than 2,000 locations throughout the U.S., including in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and State College. The app is available for iPhone, Android, or Windows phone.
“We are excited to be working with Parkmobile” said Mayor Papenfuse. “The new app will open up a lot of possibilities for parking specials throughout the city.”
Parking specials will include the launch of the “After5” pilot program validation code, which will reduce happy hour parking rates to only $1 an hour from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. in Downtown Harrisburg. Additionally, the City will relaunch the “LUVHBG” discount code, which offers four hours of parking on Saturdays throughout the City.
The Parkmobile app also will offer merchants the opportunity to pre-purchase parking validation codes for their customers at a bulk discounted rate. Any businesses interested in offering discount codes or pre-purchasing validations are encouraged to contact SP Plus Manager Nancy Keim.
